Mixing screw conveyor for a mixture between paperpulp and water. Water is added into the pulp in this specially designed mixing screw conveyor. The volume flow of the material is approximately 300 m3/h. This require a relatively high speed of the gear box.
What should be considered in screw conveyor application for the paper industry?
- The media is often aggressive. This require the screw conveyor manufactured from acid proof stainless steel
- The environment is rough and typically higher thickness of screw flights and housing are used
- Bearings are moved away from the hosing to avoid material contact from the media into the bearings in case of untight pack boxes
