U-trough screw conveyor for transporting mineral wool waste. The screw conveyor is manufactured for a heavy-duty environment.

The screw conveyor has a high inclination. In this case BEMA has manufactured tube shaped lids for the screw conveyor, which means that it has the same functionality compared to a tubular conveyor.

The screw rotor is supplied with wear flight segments.

Due to the length the U-trough is manufactured with a double formed flange.

What is the function of wear screw flights used in a U-trough screw conveyor?

What filling degree can you have in U-trough conveyor?

• In BEMA we recommend a standard filling degree of not more than 30%
• For light flowing materials you can increase the filling degree up to 45%
• If the material is abrasive  like ash and slags the filling degree shall be as low as 10%
