Cooling screw conveyors with dimple jacket delivered in a project with a total of 12 screw conveyors. Two of these are cooling screw conveyors.

Used methods in the cooling screw conveyors

1. Jacket cooling by using dimple jacket – see pictures
2. Cooling of the inner tube of the screw rotor

Dimple jackets are efficient in cooling the jacket. They create turbulence by agitating the process fluid within the dimples, which increse the efficiency. To avoid condensation on the outside surface, the jacket is insulated with 50 mm mineral wool.

In this project BEMA has undertaken all the task with respect to the screw conveyors:

1. Made the complete design of all the screw conveyors
2. Included support, chutes, inlets and outlet in the design
3. Manufactured all the screw conveyors
4. Insulated the cooling screw conveyors
5. Performed a FAT-test in the factory
6. Packed and shipped the screw conveyors to the final client
