Process screw conveyor for pre-cooking – 20019
Process screw conveyor for pre-cooking of beans and soup meat.
BEMA has designed this process screw conveyor in close cooperation with the customer.
Key elements in the design of the process screw conveyor
- The screw flight was a challenge due to the large diameter and the holes placed inside the screw flight
- The holes are made in the screw flight to ensure the liqued to flow freely during the process
- The size of the holes are relatively large to avoid blocking of the beans
- The retention time is approximately one hour
- The screw trough is supplied with inlets and outlets for hot water
- The screw conveyor deliver to a closed container in the end where a band takes the material to the next process step
- The soup is drained out in the bottom
Rising cover system
- The top of the process screw conveyor is supplied with linear acutuators for automatic control of the opening
- The system is designed to spare the manufacturing for heavy lift of lids
Designed for the food industry
- The process screw conveyor is designed in accordance with EC-1935/2004 – the food directive
- All surfaces in contact with the food material are manufactured in 2B plates
- All outer surfaces designed to for easy drainage of water during cleaning
In BEMA we have our own engineers and technicians that can assist during the design and manufacturing of process screw conveyor. We have many years of experience in designing screw conveyors that both transport and solve a process. This combination require skilled engineers, and you must expect design time for these types of applications.
