Trough screw conveyors for recycling – 18590

Through screw conveyors for recycling of crushed refrigator parts in a recycling plant. The crushed parts (insulation waste) have a size of app. 100×100 mm. which can cause squeezing between the tip of the screw rotor and the throug. To avoid this, the screw house is manufactured in a bended plate where there is a “dead” volume in the bottom. This design will avoid squeezing and the design has been tested in BEMA before shipping the screw conveyor to the customer.

What is the idea to use screw conveyors to transport recycled material?

1. The screw conveyor is completely closed and eliminates emissions to the surroundings
2. There is only one moving part in a screw conveyor – the auger
3. A screw conveyor needs a low level of maintenance

Screw conveyors for recycled material can be both trough screw conveyors and tube conveyors. The type depends on the transported material and the specific customer application.

This application require a special designed through to avoid squeezing of the transported material. When BEMA design screw conveyors we always do it in close cooperation with the customer.
