Process screw conveyor for rice soaking designed and manufactured by BEMA in cooperation with the customer. The process screw conveyor is part of a complete food processing line, where the machine takes care of boiling the rice to be processed further.

The outlet of the screw conveyor for rice soaking is supplied with a standard screw conveyor that lifts the boiled rice to the next level in the process.

Key points for the design

1. The screw rotor is supplied with lamellas which have a scraper function
2. The lamellas will avoid the rice to stick to side of the screw conveyor trough. The lammellas is standard flat bar stel
3. The screw flights are manufacutred with cut outs for the flat bar steel to ensure a hygienic application
4. The retention time in the screw conveyor is controlled by a frequency inverter attached to the electrical motor on the gear box
5. The constant output of the process screw conveyor is controlled in the filling degree

Features for the process screw conveyor

1. The screw flights are equipped with a hole for easier cleaning of the machine
2. The lids are supplied with contra weights for easy opening/closing
3. Bearing houses are manufactured in stainless steel due to hygienic requirements
