Ø400×4500 mm. hopper with an inclined screw conveyor. The solution is manufactured as a sanitary solution in accordance with EC-1935/2004 (the food directive)
BEMA has authentication to manufacture applications in accordance with EC-1935/2004. We are controlled by the authorities every year. See a similar solution in accordance with EC-1935/2004
When you use an inclined screw conveyor in combination with a hopper, it is difficult to ensure an accurate dosing. The inclined screw conveyor moves the material to a higher level. If you also need to dose the material, you shall combine a horizontal dosing screw with an inclined lifting screw conveyor.
This solution is designed to store and transport food‑grade materials while lifting them to a higher level in the process line. It combines material storage with efficient conveying, making it ideal for hygienic applications where controlled flow is required.
All components are manufactured in stainless steel 1.4301, and every weld is made using 100% TIG welding. Surfaces are designed vertically to drain cleaning water, lids allow easy access for cleaning, and the pack box is positioned for quick disassembly. The entire system complies with EC‑1935/2004 food‑contact regulations.
The system can be fully closed, all contact surfaces can be made in stainless steel, and the design supports manual but thorough cleaning. It provides both storage and transport in one unit, improving hygiene and reducing equipment footprint.
Inclined screw conveyors are excellent for lifting material but not for accurate dosing. For precise feed control, a horizontal dosing screw should be combined with the inclined conveyor to ensure consistent and measurable output.
