Screw conveyor for abrasive powder designed, manufactured and delivered to the process industry.
Using these guidelines this will increase the lifetime of the powder screw conveyor significantly. The guidelines will in general require a screw conveyor with a larger diameter. Do not consider this as a problem or issue. The increased lifetime will optimize your total cost of ownership.

BEMA is a classical machine manufacturing company. We have our own engineers and technicians with years of experience in designing screw conveyors for all types of specialised screw conveyor solutions. We always recommend that you contact us early in the design phase. In this case it is much easier to implent the right design of the powder screw conveyor.
Lifetime is improved by using wear‑resistant steel for flights and casing, lowering the filling degree, and reducing rotor speed. Duplex steel housing is especially effective for extending service life in abrasive applications.
A lower filling degree and reduced speed typically require a larger diameter to maintain capacity. This is not a drawback—longer lifetime and reduced wear lower the total cost of ownership.
The conveyor is built in two stainless steel grades: 1.4401 acid‑proof stainless steel and 1.4462 duplex steel, chosen for their strength and abrasion resistance in demanding process environments.
BEMA assists with capacity calculations, selecting reduced‑speed drive solutions, choosing abrasion‑resistant steel types, and designing wear‑friendly components that can be replaced easily during long‑term operation.
