In this project BEMA has assisted the final customer with engineering assistance to implement the tube conveyors into the existing machines in the powerplant. The engineers have taken measurement in the powerplant and assured that all designed machines can be placed without clashing with other equipment. The engineers in BEMA can assist with:
In this actual case BEMA has supplied static calculations for the tube conveyors and assisted in making an ATEX analysis of the conveyors due to a dusty environment. In the actual case, temperature sensors on the bearings of the tube conveyors have been implemented. BEMA have engineering capabilities not only to supply tube conveyors, but ensure that all needed technical requirements and demands for documentation are fullfilled.
Inclined tube conveyors are designed for transporting coal and biomass between silo systems inside power plants. They handle specialized conveying tasks such as extraction from silos, lifting material to higher levels, and feeding receiving silo systems. Their enclosed design ensures safe, efficient, and dust‑controlled material handling.
These conveyors are engineered to withstand pressure levels up to 10 barG, making them suitable for demanding industrial environments. FEM analysis is performed on the housings to ensure structural integrity, and gear motors are prepared for frequency control, allowing operators to adjust mass flow instantly.
BEMA conducts risk analyses for the complete screw system and integrates features such as pressure‑tight service openings, wear‑resistant plates, and slide gate valves for safe shutdown during non‑operation. Temperature sensors can also be installed on bearings for added monitoring and safety.
BEMA’s engineers take on-site measurements, ensure correct placement without equipment clashes, and assist with machine safety, ATEX requirements, static calculations, and other technical documentation needed for compliance.
The system is designed with ATEX considerations in mind. BEMA performs ATEX analyses and ensures all components meet the necessary safety standards for handling combustible dusts such as coal and biomass.
