Press screw conveyor for dewatering wet insulation waste from the manufacturing process. A Press screw conveyor is a mechanical process for dewatering materials.
Dewatering press screws are economical in operation – the process is completely mechanical.
The succes of the press process depends on the behaviour of the material. You must expect to adjust the process in the final application.

It is important that a suitable material control handling system is developed to feed the press screw conveyor. Without such a system you will not be able to find an optimal operation for the press screw conveyor solution. Working with press screw conveyors require process knowledge. As a machine manufacturing company BEMA can assists in:
A press screw conveyor is a mechanical system designed to dewater wet materials such as insulation waste, processed crops, mixed waste, and by‑products from food manufacturing. It reduces water content efficiently by compressing the material as it moves through the screw auger .
During transport, the internal volume of the screw auger decreases, either through a reduced pitch, a conical screw design, or a combination of both. This compression forces water out of the material. The process is fully mechanical and controlled by the screw rotor speed, which can be adjusted to optimize performance for different material types .
Operators can fine‑tune the screw speed and regulate the pressure applied to the end plate or outlet obstruction. These adjustments help achieve the desired dryness level, depending on how the material behaves in the press system .
Stable feeding is essential. A dosing screw conveyor is recommended to ensure precise and consistent material flow into the press screw. Without proper flow control, it is difficult to achieve optimal dewatering performance.
