Conical screw rotors for biomass manufactured as a spare parts project for an installed machine at a power plant.
BEMA has many years of experience in manufacturing screw rotors used as spare parts in existing biomass conveying systems. We can advise on improvements that can be applied to a screw rotor to extend its service life.
BEMA employs its own technicians and engineers to prepare production documentation for screw rotors.
If you, as a customer, have a need for manufacturing screw rotors as spare parts, please contact us. We serve all types of industries.
Conical screw rotors ensure more uniform emptying of the hopper because they are continuously covered by material. The conical shape prevents blockages at the outlet and provides stable and efficient material transport in power plants and other biomass facilities.
Biomass is a highly abrasive material, and therefore screw flights are often manufactured in Hardox wear-resistant steel. In particularly demanding operating conditions, hardfacing can be applied to significantly extend service life. BEMA advises on the optimal material combination for your specific installation.
Yes. BEMA assigns each screw rotor a unique item number, allowing it to be reproduced 100% identically when worn out. With full control over the production basis, BEMA can deliver spare parts quickly — typically within 3–4 working weeks.
Service life can be significantly extended through the use of Hardox, application of hardfacing on exposed areas, and adjustment of the pitch of the screw flights to avoid material compression. BEMA’s technicians can also propose design changes that optimize both operation and durability.
