Ash trough conveyor classifier for ash designed and manufactured for a power plant. The ash trough classifier ia a process machine.

Which processes does the ash classifier solve?

1. It receives ash from the bottom of the burner
2. It humifidifies the ash in the water tank – the ash will slowly fall to the bottom of the trough conveyor
3. The humidification process cool down the ash and avoid dust emission to the environment
4. The ash is transported from the bottom of the classifier to the outlet into a container

The trough classifier solves a transportation task in combination with a cooling and an environmental task.

BEMA has designed the machine in cooperation with the end customer.

Key features in the technical solution for the trough classifier:

1. The outlet is placed above the water level which drains the ash before it is dumped into the container
2. A special internal bearing is developed in the following end to ensure water tightness. The bearing can be replaced from outside
3. The water level is controlled by using 2 level switches in 2 different heights
4. The ash trough screw conveyor has one internal moving part inside the water filled casing – an internal greased sliding bearing
5. The machine is manufactured in stainless steel because the ash/water are agressive
6. The complete mahcine needs more or less no maintenance
